Roberto Albertazzi founded A&A in Milan in September 2000 as a spin-off of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, of which he had been a founding partner in Italy. The firm, established to provide an alternative to the logic of large international offices, created structures in networks that made it possible to customize services to customers. The decision to operate within a smaller legal structure makes it possible to offer clients more personal and flexible service, while retaining the standards of professionalism typical of large international law firms. After first joining with professionals and other Italian and foreign firms operating in complementary sectors, the firm expanded internationally, and in 2008 became part of the Marccus Partners network.

Today the firm offers special services in the sector of business contracts and in the corporate, financial and real estate sectors, where three partners specialize, as well as in the administrative, urban development, constitutional and information sectors, on which two partners focus.
